This is a 14 year old Old Pulteney from 2007, bottled independently by Ferg & Harris at 55.5% ABV. Just 246 bottles were produced.
The whisky began its maturation in virgin oak, which adds hints of tannin, and was then finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask.
Tasting notes mention stewed raisins and jungle fruits, with a distinct salinity that sits alongside sherried bursts from the finishing cask.
