Pendleton '1910' is a 12 year old rye whisky made from 100% rye. It is distilled and aged in Canada, then imported and bottled at 40% by Hood River Distillers in Oregon. The name honours the year of the first Pendleton Round Up, the Oregon rodeo.
The whisky spends a minimum of 12 years in oak and is finished with glacier-fed spring water from Mt. Hood. It has a golden amber colour and a medium, oily body.
The nose offers nutmeg, cloves and maple with dried pineapple and sweet vanilla. On the palate there is tobacco, charred oak, butterscotch, apples and dried cherries over a spicy rye kick. The finish is medium and dry, with tart cherry, wood spice and a smooth maple close.
