Port Charlotte 10 is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, aged 10 years and bottled at 50% vol. in a 70cl bottle. The barley is peated very heavily, which gives a strongly smoky whisky.
It matured in first-fill American white oak, second-fill bourbon and second-fill wine casks.
The colour is amber. The nose has peat smoke, sea breeze, oak, sweet caramel, vanilla, ginger and spice. The palate is soft, with strong peat smoke, coconut, vanilla, honey and salt. The finish is long and smoky, with citrus.
