Port Charlotte 10 Year Old is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, in a 70cl bottle at 50% abv. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Smoky and maritime aromas dominate.
The nose is dry and earthy, with smoke, ash, salt, ginger and wild herbs. On the palate there is citrus freshness, ripe apple, apricot and exotic fruit, held within plenty of smoke and ash, with sweet honey rounding it off. The finish is dry smoke, with exotic fruits such as mango and banana returning.
