Port Charlotte PAC:01 is a peated Islay single malt from the Bruichladdich distillery on Loch Indaal, bottled at 56.1%.
Tasting notes describe fresh fruit and dry peat smoke on the nose, with clove, ginger, cinnamon, chocolate, roasted malt and toffee. The palate is robust and malty-sweet, with dried fruit, marzipan, spice, caramel and earthy smoke. With water, citrus, coconut and vanilla come forward. The finish brings earthy barbecue smoke, medicinal phenolic notes, coconut and floral touches, closing on salty, maritime notes.
