Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength is an Irish whiskey bottled at natural cask strength. The whiskeys for each batch are specially selected for this release. Redbreast is owned by Irish Distillers, the company that also owns Jameson, Midleton and Powers.
The nose opens with orange, apple, date and prune, rounded out by honey, vanilla, toasted oak, fresh grass, cinnamon and liquorice. Caramel, toasted oak and cinnamon are prominent enough that it smells more like a fruity bourbon.
