Redwood Empire Emerald Giant is a rye whiskey of more than three years old, bottled at 90 proof (45%). The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and the colour is amber. The nose has classic rye notes with a crisp apple note and subtle sweet brown sugar. The palate opens with rye spice, then turns creamy with a crisp citrus note, and later brings honey and cinnamon. The finish is on the shorter side, with a crisp apple note that evolves as you sip.
