This is a 12 year old single malt from Roseisle, bottled at 56.5% in a 70cl bottle for Diageo's 2023 Special Releases. It is the first whisky release from the distillery and goes by the name The Origami Kite.
The whisky was aged in first-fill bourbon casks and refill casks.
The nose combines coffee fudge, marzipan and Demerara sugar with an ocean breeze, cut grass and blackcurrant jam. The palate is fruity, with tinned peaches, fig rolls and crystallised oranges alongside a little rich spice. The finish is nutty and creamy.
