SHIN Malt Whisky 10 Year Old Mizunara Oak Finish (75cl, 48%)

This is a 10 year old Japanese malt whisky bottled at 48% in a 75cl bottle. It was created by Ken Usami, master blender of Shinobu Distillery, who chose malt whiskies and finished them in casks made from Mizunara, Japanese oak. The name Shin means integrity, one of the core principles of Samurai tradition. The flavour is described as balanced between the woody character and sandalwood incense of Mizunara oak and a bold, aged maltiness. It is fruit-forward, with a little pepper and spice in the aftertaste.
