A 10 year old pure malt whisky from Shinobu, finished in Japanese Mizunara oak, in a 70cl bottle.
The distiller, Mr Usami, selects whisky from around the world and matures it first in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks. It then goes into Mizunara oak for finishing, with further maturation in Japan. The colour is natural. Shinobu means forbearance in Japanese, the spirit the distiller aims to bring to making whisky.
The result is described as a fusion of flavours, smooth and easy to drink.
