A 29-year-old Campbeltown single malt from Springbank, distilled in 1996 and bottled by Cadenhead's from a single oloroso cask. The cask gave 504 bottles.
The whisky is unusually dark in the glass, described as one of the darkest Springbanks seen so far.
The nose is orange marmalade, greenhouse, cigar box and bruised apples. Cloves, burnt embers, charcoal and bung cloth come through on the palate, and the long finish is herbal, with cherry menthol sweets and salted crisps.
