This is a 30 year old Springbank from Campbeltown, bottled by Hunter Laing in its Old & Rare range. It was matured in a single bourbon cask and is one of 103 bottles, filled at 76% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Springbank was established in 1828, and the whisky is a bright gold in colour.
The nose is peaches in syrup and vanilla tablet. The palate is fruity and full bodied, with butterscotch and a hint of liquorice, and the finish is long and lingering with a fruity sweetness.
