This is the 2025 release of Springbank Local Barley, an eight-year-old Campbeltown single malt in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in an even split of bourbon and sherry casks, and made with Bere, a historic barley grown exclusively at the local High Ranach Farm.
The nose opens with cracked black pepper, cigar box and sage. On the palate come shortbread and salted caramel, with a herbal note of basil. The finish is long and sweet, with toffee standing out.
