Suntory Old Whisky (70cl, 43%)

A Japanese blended whisky from Suntory, in a 70cl bottle at 86 proof (43%). It was produced as early as 1940 and reached the market in 1950, becoming popular in the post-war years. It can be seen as the company's first attempt at marketing a luxury whisky. The blend is darker in colour, and sherry cask malt is used to mellow the taste further. The nose is balanced, the palate medium-bodied, and the finish carries a slight spicy kick.
