Templeton Rye is an American rye whiskey from the town of Templeton in Iowa, sold here at 4 years old in a 70cl bottle.
The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley. The whiskey is aged for a minimum of 4 years in new charred American oak barrels, and it has a deep amber colour.
The nose is herbal, with Christmas spice. The palate is smooth and balanced, with caramel, sweet spice and toffee.
