The Chita is the first Japanese single grain whisky. It is made from at least ten different grain whiskies, which mature in white oak, Spanish oak and wine casks.
Single grain whisky is made from unmalted grain, whereas malt whisky uses malted grain. This one is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle and is pale gold in colour.
The nose is fresh and sweet, with exotic fruit, lemon and caramel. The palate is very mild and soft, with citrus, sweet honey and a little mint. The finish is medium in length, with spicy oak that grows sweeter towards the end.
