The Dalmore 15 Year Select Edition is a limited Highland single malt from The Dalmore Distillery in Alness, with Gregg Glass as Master Distiller. It was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2023 at 45.8% ABV (91.6 proof), in a 750ml bottle.
The whisky spent 15 years in American white oak ex bourbon casks, then was enhanced by Matusalem oloroso sherry casks and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
The nose leads with orange marmalade, dark chocolate and toasted almonds, with raisin, fig and cinnamon. The palate is full bodied, with honeyed citrus, dried fig, plum and Christmas cake, and the finish is long and warming with dark chocolate, espresso and dried fruit.
