The Dalmore 15 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Alness, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It spent the full 15 years maturing through three rounds in Matusalem sherry casks, an Oloroso-style sherry from Jerez, rather than receiving a single sherry finish.
The nose brings orange marmalade, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and ginger. On the palate come mandarin, vanilla, ginger, crushed apple and dark chocolate, leading to a smooth, warming finish of persistent sweet spice.
