The Dalmore 18 Year Old (70cl, 43%)

The Dalmore 18 Year Old is an annual limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matures first in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, then spends a longer finishing period in hand-selected 30 year old Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks from the González Byass bodega in Spain, casks exclusive to The Dalmore. They are placed close to the cold, damp floor and walls of the distillery's dunnage warehouses. The nose brings vanilla, dark chocolate, English marmalade and sweet liquorice. On the palate come chocolate raisins, citrus, rich coffee, nutmeg and spice, followed by stewed fruits and toffee in the finish.
