The Dalmore 25 Year Old 2022 Edition is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Alness, bottled at 42% ABV in a 700ml bottle. Richard Paterson OBE is named as its Master Distiller.
The whisky was matured in a combination of American white oak ex-bourbon casks and Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts.
Tasting notes mention dark bitter orange, dried fig, toffee, beeswax and sherry sweetness on the nose, with vanilla and cream from the bourbon casks. The palate brings dark chocolate orange, stewed plum, espresso, vanilla cream and toasted almonds, and the finish is very long.
