The GlenDronach Ode to the Embers (70cl, 48.4%)

GlenDronach Ode to the Embers is a limited release single malt from the Highland distillery, bottled at 48.4% in a 70cl bottle without chill filtration. It belongs to the Master's Anthology series, inspired by Highland fireside gatherings and the warmth of glowing peat embers. The whisky was matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, which add dried-fruit richness alongside a gentle smokiness rather than strong peat. The nose is dark fruits and toasted sugar with smouldering wood. The palate is coating and rounded, with smoke balanced by sherry, sweetness and spice.
