The Glenlivet 12 Year Double Oak is a Speyside single malt from the distillery in the Livet Valley, founded in 1824 by George Smith. It is aged for a minimum of 12 years in two kinds of cask, ex-bourbon American oak and first-fill European oak, which gives the Double Oak name. It is bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle.
The nose offers banana and pineapple, summer meadows, malt and oak. On the palate come sweet peaches and pears with vanilla and toffee, followed by a smooth, gentle, long finish.
