The Glenlivet 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, in the original green bottle design that has since been replaced. It is bottled at 40% (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The whisky is matured in a mix of American and European oak casks, including ex-bourbon barrels, and the distillery uses water from Josie's Well. The Glenlivet was founded in 1824 by George Smith.
The nose is honeysuckle, meadow flowers, green apple, pear, vanilla, marzipan and toasted oak. The palate brings pineapple, summer stone fruits, vanilla, creamy sweetness and gentle oak spice. The finish is long and creamy, with lingering vanilla and delicate floral notes.
