The Glenlivet – 21 Year Old Archive (75cl, 43%)

The Glenlivet 21 Year Old Archive is a Speyside single malt from the distillery at Ballindalloch, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. It is made in bespoke small batches, and every cask is nosed and approved individually before it is included. The casks are a mix of American and European oak, both first and second fill, and 21 years of maturation gives the whisky the structure to carry the richness they bring. The nose is ripe peach, tropical fruit, vanilla, almond and butterscotch. On the palate come chocolate orange, dried apricot, cinnamon and warm oak, leading to a long, warming finish of spice and fruit.
