This is a 21 year old Speyside single malt from The Glenlivet, part of The Sample Room Collection, a limited series of whiskies once reserved for private tastings at the distillery. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
It was finished in three types of cask: first-fill Oloroso sherry, Tronçais oak Cognac and Colheita vintage port.
The nose shows dried apricot, honey, orange peel, soft spice and polished oak. The palate brings toffee, dark fruit, vanilla, gentle spice and silky oak. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering sweetness and oak.
