The Glenlivet Cellar Collection 1973 is a limited edition Speyside single malt from cask 742. It was distilled in 1973 and bottled on 19 October 2009 after 36 years in cask. It was bottled at 49% without chill filtration.
The bottle comes in a hand-crafted solid oak presentation box with leather and brass fittings, engraved with the Glenlivet 1824 crest, together with a signed certificate of authenticity.
The nose is floral, with dried apricot, beeswax, toasted almond, vanilla, antique leather and a gentle grassy freshness. The palate brings poached stone fruits, dark honey, toasted oak, white chocolate and dried flowers, with a growing warmth.
