The Glenlivet – Founder's Reserve

The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is a single malt Scotch whisky made in the spirit of George Smith, who began distilling at The Glenlivet. It uses his lantern-shaped copper stills, and like his whisky, it has no age statement, drawing on casks of a range of ages. Master Distiller Alan Winchester marries traditional aged oak casks with American first-fill oak casks, which have never held whisky before. The first-fill casks add a modern twist. The whisky is described as smooth and fruity, with a creamy sweetness alongside delicate flavours and complex fruity tones.
