The Glenlivet – Founder's Reserve Single Malt (175cl)

The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is a single malt in a 1.75 litre bottle, made using the distillation methods introduced by George Smith, including lantern-shaped copper pot stills of his design. It carries no age statement, in the manner of George Smith's day, when whisky was chosen from casks of a range of ages. Master Distiller Alan Winchester marries traditional aged oak casks with American first-fill oak casks, which have never held whisky before. These add a smooth, creamy sweetness to the delicate, fruity flavours already in the whisky.
