The Glenlivet Founders Reserve is a Speyside single malt without an age statement, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle.
The name honours George Smith, who was granted the first legal licence to distil in the Scottish Highlands in 1824. The whisky is matured in a combination of traditional ex-bourbon casks and first-fill American oak.
The nose is creamy and floral, with vanilla, white peach, fresh cream and light citrus. On the palate come vanilla toffee, ripe fruit, gentle spice and honeyed sweetness, followed by a short to medium finish that is clean and sweet.
