Three Fingers High 12 Year Sherry Finished Canadian Whisky (75cl, 40%)

A 12 year old Canadian whisky made entirely from rye, bottled at 40% (80 proof). It is a blend of rye whiskies that were each aged twelve years in oak, then finished in sherry casks. The spirit combines pot still and continuous distillation in small batches. It was distilled and aged in Canada and bottled in California. The sherry finish gives the whisky a warm amber colour with a reddish cast. The nose is spicy, with cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of clove over soft oak. The palate is soft but full, with rye spice, gentle oak and hints of toffee. The finish is deep and lingering, warm and spicy, fading on oak and dried fruit sweetness.
