Togouchi Beer Cask Finish Blended Whisky (70cl)

Togouchi Beer Cask Finish is a Japanese blended whisky in a 70cl bottle, made from a blend of only 36 casks. The Chief Blender of the Sakurao distillery chose oak casks that first held Martinique rum in the French Caribbean and then matured IPA beer in France for the final maturation. Togouchi whiskies are aged, blended and diluted in Japan. The casks, imported from Scotland and Canada, rest in a tunnel 361m long, dug in 1970, and the spirit is reduced with spring water from Sandankyo natural park. The nose shows hops from the IPA and honeyed rum. The palate brings baked apples, nuts and corn flakes with a discreet peat, and the finish is sweet and honeyed with a slight bitterness.
