Togouchi Pure Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Togouchi Pure Malt is a blended malt from Chugoku Jozo, bottled at 40% abv in a 70cl bottle. It combines single malts imported from different distilleries, which were then aged, blended and bottled in Japan. The malts were aged for between 3 and 9 years in a careful selection of sherry and bourbon casks. The whisky is very slightly peaty. The nose offers vanilla, chocolate and ripe apricot. Fresh cream joins on the palate as fine peat asserts itself. The finish brings bitter cocoa and hazelnut, with the peat slowly fading.
