Togouchi Pure Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Togouchi Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt from Chugoku Jozo, in a 70cl bottle at 40% abv. It is made from single malts imported from different distilleries, then aged, blended and bottled in Japan. The malts were matured for between 3 and 9 years in a selection of sherry and bourbon casks. The whisky is very slightly peaty. The nose brings vanilla, chocolate and ripe apricot. Fresh cream joins on the palate as the peat firms up, and the finish carries bitter cocoa and hazelnut with the peat fading slowly.
