An 18 year old Highland single malt from Tomatin, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2025 by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice series. It comes from a single bourbon barrel, number 3898, and 140 bottles were filled at 59.8% ABV.
The series bottles individually selected casks, chosen to show distillery character and cask influence.
On the nose, lemon and orange peel lead to vanilla pod, with apricot, mango, sweet hay and eucalyptus. Red apple, soft ginger and barley sugar open the palate, followed by white chocolate, pineapple and charred oak. The finish is medium-bodied with a faint herbal edge.
