1st fill sherry puncheon
A 30 year old Highland single malt from Tomatin, distilled in 1993 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice series. It comes from a single first fill sherry puncheon, cask #6812, and 502 bottles were produced at 58.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The Connoisseurs Choice series is built around individually selected casks, chosen to show distillery character and cask influence. The nose offers rich forest fruits with peanut brittle and red apple, then butterscotch, citrus zest and malted biscuit. On the palate, clove-studded tangerine mixes with brown sugar and sultana, alongside blackcurrant jam and ginger spice. The finish is full and spicy, with lingering mature oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
