Refill sherry puncheon
A 28 year old single malt from Tormore in Speyside, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2025 by Gordon & MacPhail at 57.1% ABV. It comes from a single refill sherry puncheon, #5391, which gave 493 bottles. Tormore stands beside the A96 above the river Spey. Construction began in 1959 and distilling started in 1961, in a large building designed by Sir Albert Richardson. The nose is bright orange peel with clove, cinnamon, soft fruitcake, raspberry and prunes. On the palate, blackberry, festive spice and stewed apple give way to blackcurrant, garden mint and mature oak. The finish is full and spicy, with lingering citrus fruit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
