Wayne Gretzky 99 Proof is a small batch Canadian whisky, the third spirit released under Gretzky's name. It is bottled at 99 proof (49.5%).
The whisky was matured for three years in bourbon barrels, then finished for 100 days in Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks.
The nose is expansive, with toffee, dried fruit, anise and sweet smoke. The palate brings raisin, ginger, nut and liquorice root, leading to a long, lingering finish.
