Woodford Reserve – Double Oaked (75cl, 45.2%)

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 45.2% in a 750ml bottle. It is matured twice: first in a standard charred oak barrel, then in a second barrel that has been deeply toasted and only lightly charred. The second barrel is used to bring out extra sweetness and toasted wood character. The nose offers dark fruit, caramel, honey, chocolate and marzipan. On the palate come vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple and spice, followed by a long, creamy finish of honeyed apple and oak.
