Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby 145 is the commemorative bottle for the 2019 running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, with label artwork by Keith A. Anderson. It is bottled at 45.2% (90.4 proof) in a 1 litre bottle.
Inside is Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select, a Kentucky straight bourbon from the distillery in Versailles, Kentucky. It is made in copper pot stills, triple distilled, and aged in new charred American oak.
The colour is rich golden amber. The nose has dried fruit, vanilla and toasted oak with hints of mint, orange and cocoa. The palate is caramel, honey and dark chocolate over cinnamon, nutmeg and gentle rye spice. The finish is long and silky, with spice, toasted wood and a touch of tobacco.
