Woodford Reserve – Masters Collection Series No.18 Historical Barrel Entry Bourbon (70cl)

Woodford Reserve Historical Barrel Entry is the 2022 release in the Masters Collection, a Kentucky straight bourbon. The spirit went into the barrel at 100 proof, which follows a practice from the 19th century. The distillery says this lower entry proof shapes the ageing and gives a deeply rich, robust bourbon. The nose combines vanilla bean and dried apple with nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and a little cocoa. The palate has toasted oak, overripe banana and stewed berries, with leather, coffee and mint-infused dark chocolate. The finish carries charred oak, leather and orange oil.
