This is the 12 year old single malt from Yamazaki, the Japanese whisky house of Suntory, in a 700ml bottle at 43% ABV.
It was one of the first Japanese whiskies to be seriously marketed to the rest of the world.
The palate is smooth and rich with nut oils and citrus zest, with a bite of winter spice. Fruity notes round off the finish.
