Yellow Spot 12 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

Yellow Spot 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle at 46% abv. It is matured for the full 12 years in three cask types: American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts and Spanish Malaga casks. The Malaga casks add an exotic, sweet note. The name comes from the Spot whiskeys of Mitchell & Son, a Dublin wine merchant and whiskey bonder. It matured whiskey in underground cellars beneath the city, in casks filled with Jameson from Bow St. Distillery. Each cask was marked with a daub of paint showing its maturation time, and yellow meant 12 years.
