117 West Spirits Single Malt Whiskey (75cl)

This is a California single malt from 117 West, in a 750ml bottle. It was influenced by a red ale and is made with pale malt, Munich malt and caramel malt, which give the wort a reddish colour. The barley is grown using sustainable practices in Northern California and floor-malted in Alameda by Admiral Maltings. After distilling, the spirit is aged for just under a year in small charred American oak barrels, and ends up a gold-bronze colour. The nose is woody, reminiscent of Northern California forests. The palate shows dried fruit, fresh bread and allspice.
