291 Colorado Rye Small Batch

291 Colorado Rye is a small batch American rye whiskey from Colorado. The 291 brand began as the project of a former New York City fashion photographer, who made the first spirit in a small basement on a still built from old copper photographic plates. The first run came off the still in 2011. The whiskey is finished with the help of deep charred American white oak barrels and toasted staves of Colorado aspen. The aspen takes the caramel notes towards maple and adds what the distillery describes as a distinct Colorado flavour.
