2XO French Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 750ml bottle, and the second blend in the Oak Series.
Dixon uses a double oak technique, inserting chains of charred French oak into the barrels. The mash bill is moderate in rye, at 18%, and each batch is matched to the same profile for consistent character.
It moves from sweet, rich caramel at the front to savoury coffee and cinnamon in the middle, then finishes with a mild peppery spice. It is described as approachable and well suited to cocktails.
