This is a limited edition of 2XO Gem of Kentucky, a Kentucky straight bourbon that is double-barrelled and selected from single barrels. It is bottled at barrel proof in a 750ml bottle, and the expression is credited to Dixon Dedman.
What sets this edition apart is the bottle. It carries a custom-etched "Born Free" design of an eagle breaking chains, in place of the usual presentation. The bourbon inside is the same barrel-strength Gem of Kentucky.
It is described as having dark caramel, seasoned oak and spice, with toasted oak and char adding depth, and a long, warming finish.
