2XO Oak Series American Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the 2XO brand, built around a second addition of oak during maturation.
Highly charred white oak is introduced towards the end of maturation, and this is where the bold vanilla and caramel notes come from. Those sweeter flavours are set against the spice of the rye in the mash bill, giving the bourbon a balance between sweetness and spice.
Vanilla and caramel lead the flavour, with rye spice running alongside.
