2XO The Sneakerhead Blend Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 52%)

The Sneakerhead Blend is the fifth release in Dixon Dedman's Icon Series of small-batch bourbons for 2XO. It was released in September 2024 as a one-time bottling, at 52% in a 75cl bottle with no age statement. It blends two mash bills, one high-rye and one moderate-rye. The high-rye part makes up 60% of the blend and was double-barrelled for 9 to 12 months in new charred oak at both #3 and #4 char levels, adding sweetness to balance the rye spice. Each Icon Series blend is named after something in Dedman's life, and this one nods to his love of sneaker culture. The nose offers vanilla, banana bread, cinnamon and clove. On the palate come cinnamon, allspice, cedar and pepper, with a rich, viscous mouthfeel, and the finish is long, smooth and peppery.
