2XO White Oak Rye is a Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey from the Oak Series, created by blender Dixon Dedman. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle, and was produced and bottled in Louisville, Kentucky by Prestige Beverage Group.
The name stands for Two Times Oak. Extra charred white oak is introduced at the end of maturation, giving the rye a second encounter with oak.
The nose offers fresh pine, mint and cedar with a hint of char. The palate is peppery and spicy, layered with sweet oak, caramel and herbal notes. The finish is lingering, with toasted wood, dark spice and mellow barrel sweetness.
