A.D. Rattray Stronachie 10 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. The spirit comes from Benrinnes Distillery and was matured for ten years in a small batch of about twenty ex-bourbon casks. It is natural colour.
Stronachie was a distillery that closed long ago. The independent bottler A.D. Rattray revived the name in 2002, after finding that Benrinnes spirit matched the flavour of a surviving 1904 Stronachie bottle. The 10 year old joined the range in 2017.
The nose is typically described as malt biscuit, honey and green apple. The palate is soft and rounded, with vanilla, pear and light oak spice, and the finish is gentle and malty with fading fruit.
